Legia crowned Polish champions for the 22nd time as head-to-head results decide the title

Legia Warsaw Boxing Club claimed its 22nd Polish team championship. The capital club won the 2025 season of the revived Polish Boxing League. Legia’s boxers received their gold medals after the final match at Wałbrzych’s Hala Mistrzów arena.
At the end of the season, three teams had 20 points each and identical records of 10 wins and four losses: KB Legia, WKB RUSHH Kielce and Imperium Boxing Wałbrzych. The Warsaw team came out on top in their head-to-head meetings, claiming the Polish team title for the first time since 1986.
A total of 32 boxers competed for Legia. The best records belonged to Nikolas Pawlik (12-0), Bartłomiej Rośkowicz (10-0), Alexey Sevostyanov (10-2), Bohdan Gorgol (6-0), Rami Kiwan (6-2), Mateusz Grejber (6-4), Oskar Kopera (6-4), Adam Tutak (5-0), Jakub Straszewski (5-1), Elvir Karimov (4-3) and Nikodem Kozak (3-3).
Legia’s boxers won all seven matches in the first half of the season, extending their winning streak to ten matches overall. They finished the season with four losses, due primarily to health problems among their regular starters.
The Polish Boxing League, revived by the Polish Boxing Association under president Grzegorz Nowaczek, attracted sponsors, fans and media attention. It also provided exciting bouts and regular opportunities to compete against domestic and international opponents. The title race continued until the final round of matches, with little separating the leading teams.
Pomorzanin Boxing Team and Concordia Knurów finished close to the medal places. After a disappointing first half of the season, the Silesian team had just one win and two points, having lost four matches by 8-10 scores. They collected all 14 available points in the second half, showing that they could challenge for the title next season.
CKB Potężnie Ciechocinek, RKB Wisłok 1995 Rzeszów and Golden Team Nowy Sącz finished sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively.
A total of 248 boxers competed across the eight clubs, an average of 31 per team. Like Nikolas Pawlik, Damian Durkacz of Concordia and Petro Lakotskyi of Imperium Boxing posted 12-0 records. Michał Akoto-Ampaw and Tymoteusz Jakubowski of Wisłok, Paweł Sajda and Dawid Tkacz of Imperium Boxing, and Łukasz Dudziński of Concordia competed in all 14 matches.
President Grzegorz Nowaczek told PZB TV in an interview that the second season could begin in March 2026. A meeting with the clubs is planned beforehand. A second division may also be established, potentially including military teams made up of boxing sections based at military units.
The Polish Boxing League project is funded by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism under the “Series of Interclub Boxing Matches” project.
