Legia Beat Wisłok as Pawlik Again Opens the Match With a Win

KB Legia Warszawa claimed its 10th victory in the Polish Boxing League. As usual, Nikolas Pawlik (55 kg) secured the team's first win of the match. On Sunday evening, the Warsaw side beat RKB Wisłok 1995 Rzeszów 14-4, with Pawlik (10-0) defeating Tymoteusz Jakubowski.

Legia fielded several Polish national team members alongside Bulgarian stars Radoslav Rosenov (60 kg) and Rami Kiwan (75 kg). Rosenov, a bronze medalist at this year's World Championships and runner-up at last year's European Championships, was making his Polish league debut. Kiwan, a world silver medalist and European champion, entered with a 6-1 record.

On Sunday, Rosenov beat Michał Akoto-Ampaw, while Kiwan lost to Dmytro Kulya. The league leaders were then ahead 8-2. Kazimierz Kunicki (80 kg) secured the overall victory for Legia. Alexey Sevostyanov (90 kg) then won in the first round.

Earlier, Golden Team Nowy Sącz lost 4-14 to Pomorzanin Boxing Team Toruń. Two visiting boxers won inside the distance: Wladimir Sapitonenko (70 kg) beat Radosław Dzięgiel in the third round, and Michał Jarliński (75 kg) defeated Damian Skutnik in the first.

At midday Sunday, Imperium Boxing Wałbrzych lost 6-12 to Concordia Knurów. On Saturday, second-placed WKB Rushh Kielce beat CKB Potężnie Ciechocinek 10-8.

Legia lead the standings with 20 points. Rushh have 16, while Pomorzanin and Imperium have 12 each.

Round 11 matches are spread across four days: October 24, 25, 26 and 31.
