Pawlik unbeaten after first round of Polish Boxing League

Nikolas Pawlik (Legia Warszawa) was the top boxer in the 55 kg division and across the entire first round of the Polish Boxing League. He won all seven of his bouts. Mateusz Szczoczarz (Rushh Kielce), with a 5-2 record, and Kacper Słomka (Concordia Knurów), at 4-2, also made the podium in the lightest weight class.
Twenty-seven of the 28 matches have been held. The local derby between Potężnie Ciechocinek and Pomorzanin Boxing Team Toruń remains. Twelve boxers competed at 55 kg. Imperium Boxing Wałbrzych had the most entrants, with three.
Alongside Pawlik, Szczoczarz and Słomka, the leading boxers included Olivier Rogiewicz (Pomorzanin Boxing Team Toruń) at 3-2 and Tymoteusz Jakubowski (RKB Wisłok 1995 Rzeszów) at 3-4. Dominik Piotrowski (Imperium Boxing Wałbrzych) has a 2-0 record.
Rogiewicz of Toruń may yet face Dominik Stasiak of Ciechocinek.
Just over six months ago, Pawlik, then representing Bytomska Akademia Boksu, defeated Rogiewicz of Champion Włocławek 5-0. It was the 54 kg final of the Polish Individual Championships in Wałbrzych.
