Wisłok beat Concordia 10-8 in seventh round of Polish Boxing League

In the final match of the Polish Boxing League’s seventh round, RKB Wisłok 1995 Rzeszów beat Concordia Knurów 10-8 at home. It was the hosts’ second win of the 2025 season. Their opponents have yet to win a match.

Before Sunday’s meeting, the Rzeszów side had a 1-5 record, while the Knurów side stood at 0-5. Concordia still have a postponed match to play against Golden Team Nowy Sącz, whose record is 0-6.

The visitors from the Silesian Voivodeship took the lead twice. They went 2-0 up after Kacper Słomka earned a split-decision win over Tymoteusz Jakubowski at 55 kg. Mateusz Wojtasiński put Concordia ahead 6-4 when he defeated Fabian Sęk at 75 kg. The referee stopped that bout almost exactly at the end of the second round.

Earlier, Concordia’s leading boxer, Damian Durkacz, had levelled the score at 4-4 in the 70 kg division. His opponent, Maciej Treliński, was retired at the start of the third round.

In the first half of the match, Michał Akoto-Ampaw scored points for RKB Wisłok 1995 with a unanimous-decision win at 60 kg, while Jakub Pałka won by split decision at 65 kg.

The Rzeszów boxers prevailed in the closing bouts. In a contest between debutants, Maksymilian Kula beat Kamil Kocoń at 80 kg. Krystian Kopeć then won at 85 kg, followed by Wiktor Bartnik at 90 kg. Wisłok took a 10-6 lead, securing two points in the league standings. In the final bout, Adam Ziomek lost to Michał Fiedler, who narrowed Concordia’s margin of defeat.

The season has reached its halfway point, although two postponed matches from the second round remain to be played. KB Legia Warszawa lead with a perfect 14 points, four ahead of KKB Rushh Kielce.
