Legia Move Clear at the Top After Win Over Rushh Kielce
In a clash of Polish Boxing League favorites, KB Legia Warsaw beat KKB Rushh Kielce 14-4. It was the Warsaw team’s second win by the same score. Legia now stand alone at the top of the table for the 2025 season.
In the opening round, KKB Rushh beat Golden Team Nowy Sącz 16-2, while KB Legia defeated Imperium Boxing Wałbrzych 14-4.
Legia fielded an unchanged lineup for the teams’ head-to-head meeting in round two. Rushh, by contrast, brought in seven new boxers: Rostyslav Kravchenko, Jan Sadowski, Konrad Kozłowski, Michał Pierzchała, Dawid Kruczkowski, Damian Smagieł and Jakub Domurad. Only Mateusz Szczoczarz and Cezary Znamiec returned from the previous lineup.
Szczoczarz (55 kg) lost Sunday’s opening bout to Nikolas Pawlik. Znamiec, meanwhile, beat Paweł Sulęcki at 70 kg. He had boxed at 75 kg in the first round.
Legia quickly took a 6-0 lead. They then controlled the contest, leading 8-2 and 10-4 before winning 14-4.
Alongside Pawlik, points for Legia were scored by Elvir Karimov, Bartłomiej Rośkowicz, Rami Kiwan, Jakub Straszewski, Alexey Sevostyanov and Oskar Kopera.
In another round-two fixture, Imperium Boxing Wałbrzych beat RKB Wisłok Rzeszów 10-8. Golden Team Nowy Sącz versus Concordia Knurów and the Kuyavian-Pomeranian regional derby between Pomorzanin Boxing Team Toruń and CKB Potężnie Ciechocinek will be held on other dates.
Round three will take place in two weeks, just before the Feliks Stamm Memorial—the World Boxing World Cup event in Warsaw. TVP Sport will broadcast Concordia Knurów versus KB Legia on May 9 at 5:30 p.m.
