Today in Toruń, Poland’s senior national team will face Serbia. The Poles, who do not often have the opportunity to compete in international tournaments, need such international tests. However, the visitors have arrived with a heavily reserve-strength lineup. Their team includes just one reigning Serbian champion – Miljan Stevović (91 kg), as well as two national runners-up: Lazar Stanojević (64 kg, although he will compete at 69 kg in Toruń) and Sasa Milovac (81 kg).

The Polish team will include, among others, four national champions from this year: Jarosław Iwanow (56 kg), Damian Durkacz (64 kg), Bartosz Gołębiewski (75 kg) and Michał Soczyński (91 kg). Maciej Haba (81 kg) and Dawid Kopacz (91 kg) will have the chance to make their debuts. This year, Poland’s national team has already contested eight international matches: three against Canada, two against Ukraine, and one each against Lithuania, Sweden and Turkey.
