Unfortunately, Robert Zakharyan (49 kg), Dominik Harwankowski (56 kg) and Konrad Białas (64 kg) lost their opening bouts. The first was beaten 4-1 by Italy’s Massimo Spada, the second lost 0-5 to Russia’s Aleksey Kiselev, while the third suffered a defeat by the same score against Sweden’s Roberto Bengtsson.

Today, in the quarterfinals, Mateusz Wojtasiński (52 kg) will face Alberto Arroyo Bueno (Spain), Damian Durkacz (60 kg) will meet Nikita Piskunov (Russia), Eryk Apresyan (69 kg) will take on Osman Aliyev (Russia), Konrad Kaczmarkiewicz (81 kg) will box Nikita Kovyshkin (Russia), and Oskar Safaryan (+91 kg) will face Tobias Yrvin (Norway).

The “Brandenburg Cup” tournament in Frankfurt an der Oder has been held since 1996. It is one of the most important events featuring the world’s top youth boxers. The participation of representatives of Poland has already become a tradition. Polish boxers have triumphed in Frankfurt five times: Marcin Bombik (1996), Sławomir Malinowski (1998), Andrzej Nowosada (2000), Dawid Jagodziński (2011) and Patryk Szymański (2011).
