Two weeks of training remain before the fight. Sparring is going according to plan, and the partners are carrying out their assigned tasks very well. They are experienced boxers: Monte Barrett, with whom Adamek has worked before, and Travis Kaufmann. The latter recently stated that he would gladly face the Pole.

Both are meant to imitate Vyacheslav Glazkov’s style in the ring. Preparations are proceeding without disruption. The program also includes a relatively limited strength-training routine. The venue for the fight is already known. On November 16, 2013, Adamek and Glazkov will enter the ring at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.

The event will be broadcast by the American network NBC. The organizers have also taken Polish fans into account. The fight will begin on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. U.S. time, or 9:00 p.m. in Poland. The bout is scheduled for twelve rounds. At stake will be the No. 2 position in the IBF heavyweight rankings.

Outside the gym, on October 19, 2013, Adamek appeared at the Cultural Center at 176 Java Street in Brooklyn. He was one of five judges selecting the most beautiful Polish woman among representatives of the Polish-American community. It was his first time serving in that role. Przemek Majewski was also making his debut.

Aleksandra Gąsiorowska of New Jersey won the title of Miss Polonia USA. It was a pleasant experience. This brief break from boxing allowed him to take a short rest from the demanding training sessions.

Health and mental well-being are very important both during preparations and in the fight itself. Adamek hopes that this time he will enter the ring fully focused and put on a good performance.
